Forensic Science Diploma
Forensic Science includes the strategy and analysis of information
collected in death investigations or other events which are criminal acts. In
Canada, police are regularly trained in forensic investigations, but there are
other fields also (e.g. medical staff, biologists, dentists, anthropologists
and criminologists) who are willing or can gain a lot of benefits from forensic
science training.
Forensic Science Diploma is designed to
provide sound knowledge about various disciplines of science (e.g. physics,
biology and chemistry) which forms the foundation of forensic investigation
techniques. This basic of science is provided through preliminary and special
courses offered by departments in Science & Arts faculties. Students can
expand their knowledge and understanding by selecting from complementary
courses list offered by these same departments. Forensic Science Specialists
helps to expose students to the application of forensic science knowledge.
